Mental Training refers to the MENTAL REPS that are practiced and executed the same way you would physically prepare for any aspect of your sport or performance. This is consistent and deliberate practice of things like resetting, self-talk, pre-performance routines, communication, leadership, and more.

The Basics

Sport Psychology is the study of psychological factors that improve and enhance performance. Ever heard the saying that performance is 80% mental and 20% physical? Well that is where sport psychology can take action. What sets the best athletes/performers apart from the rest is how they approach their domain mentally. Things like focus, attention, emotion regulation, energy level, and confidence play a significant role in how you are able to manage your performance and those aspects require intentional practice.
